Bays Planet Foundation is a women, youth-led, registered, non-profit, and non-governmental organisation. Focused on providing adequate and sustainable solutions to victims of sexual abuse and social violence, we are licensed by both the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
We are actively involved in achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations: good health and well-being (3), quality education (4), gender equality (5), decent work and economic growth (8), reduced inequality (10), sustainable cities and communities (11), peace and justice strong institutions (16) and partnerships for the goals (17).
Since our launch in January 2018, we have embarked on significant outreaches to educate women and girls about menstrual hygiene, enhance advocacy about sexual abuse and violence against women through community engagements, and we’ve also called for a stakeholder meeting which was instrumental in the implementation of Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Act in Kwara State in October 2020.
Our impact rate has reached over 20,500 people through our physical projects, online engagements, and partnerships with other reputable organisations.
